What a Great Weekend!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the 2012 Rope Skipping Canada National Championships! We had a great event with some big speed scores, fantastic freestyle routines, and a whole lot of fun! Thank you to all of the tournament organizers, volunteers and sponsors! Thank you to the International Demo Team (L to R: Wouter Tack, Monica Harlow, Sebastien Deeg, Vivien Vajda, Sam Ashley, Sarah Dobrowolski and Willem Tack) for their help promoting rope skipping throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and performing at the Opening Ceremonies. Most of all, thank you to all of the athletes for making Nationals one of the best championships we have ever had!

Jump Anywhere!

Rope skipping isn't just for gymnasiums! One of the beautiful things about rope skipping is that you don't need anything more than yourself and a rope. No fancy facility or equipment necessary, shoes are even optional! Check out this great video from some jumpers on their trip to Hong Kong!

2012 Provincial Championships

2012 RSC National Championships - Hosted by RSANS

RSANS and the Sackville Speeders are happy to announce that we are co-hosting the 2012 Rope Skipping Canada National Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick, on May 17-20, 2012.

RSANS is seeking volunteers to help plan, promote, and coordinate the competition. If you or anyone you know are able to help out in any way, please contact the tournament chair, Angela MacDonald, at angela@rsans.com.

Jump Energy in Labrador!

Jump Energy had a blast at the Sheshatshiu Innu School in Sheshatshiu, Labrador. The team put on a great show and workshop for all of the students and everyone had a wonderful time. Hopefully the trip started the ball rolling and we'll see some more jump rope coming out of Newfoundland and Labrador! Check out the photos below!

Great Summer Camp!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our first annual Summer Rope Skipping Camp! We had a great week full of learning and fun! 2011 RSANS Summer Camp

The 2011 RSANS Provincial / Eastern Canadian Championships is less than a week away! Everything kicks off Friday night at 6pm with Opening Ceremonies followed by Masters Speed and Power at 7pm.

There is no admission fee so bring the family and get ready for a weekend of non-stop action!

Putting on a Good Show!

Competing is great, but performing for an audience is also a very important part of rope skipping. It allows jumpers to go beyond the confines of the rules and guidelines of competition, and really showcase our sport's limitless possibilities. The Comet Skippers of Mason, Ohio, can certainly put on a show! With guest jumpers from Belgium, Germany, France, and all across the USA, sit back and enjoy!

2011 RSANS Provincial Invitational Championships

Registration for this year's provincial championships is now open. In addition to our regular provincial championships, this year's event also includes an "Invitational" component that will include athletes from Quebec and New Brunswick as well!

The event will take place over 3 days: May 27th, 28th and 29th at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. For more information please contact Sam at sam(at)rsans(dot)com.
